FIVE-TIME professional world jet-ski champi on Kevin Reiterer will headline a world class field of PWC racers on Lake Macquarie at the weekend of June 8 to 10.
\nReiterer\, 26\, of Austria\, will contest the 2018 WSM Australian Wa tercross Championships\, at Eleebana.
\n“Since turning pro in 2008\, Kevin has won countless races around t he globe including five world titles in the premier pro ski class\,” Mr Gl ew said.
\n“The Austrian will be aboard the Jetsport Asia Australia-sponsored Kawasaki SXR1500 built by Newcastle Jet Ski Centre.”
\nReiterer was introduced to jet-skis by his father\, Thomas\, at age five. The next year his parents bought him his first jet-ski.
\nAt age 15\, Reiterer was picked up by the Austrian Hydrospace Factory Racing Team\, and first started travelling the world to compete.
\nIt was then that he dreamed of becoming the best in the world. He scored his first world title at age 17\, and has added anot her four to prove it was no fluke.
\n“ I want to be remembered in being beyond beliefs by doing what I love\,” Re iterer said on his website.
\nMr Glew said Lake Macquarie would be buzz ing over the three-day event.
\n“In ad dition to Australia’s best\, the event will play host to several of the sp orts international superstars\,” he said.
\nThey will include Kylie Ellmers (New Zealand) a nine-time world titl e competitor and UIM pro GP1 ski rider\; Tayne Lemon (New Zealand) a world title winner with another two world title podium finishes\; and Ou Moeut Saly (Cambodia)\, a UIM pro GP1 ski rider.
\nAmong t he leading Australian racers will be Paul Leven\, the Australian pro GP ru nabout champion\, two-time world title winner James Masterton\; and five-t ime Australian endurance champion Christian D’agostin.
\nThe action starts on Friday\, June 8\, with practice fr om 2pm to 4.30pm
\nOn Saturday\, June 9\, there will be racing from 9am to 4.30pm.
\nAnd on Sunday\, June 10\, the racing is scheduled from 9am to 4pm .
\nEleebana Lions Park will be the ho me base for the event\, which is supported by Lake Macquarie City Council.

\nWe will have demos available for riders that would like to hav e a ago as part of the training day and have paid there $30 and have the c orrect equipment. And have satisfied the requirements of the club.
\nThen the demos will be available to ride outside the event area if they a re licenced\, and if non licenced I will be able to take them for a ride\, if time and area permitted.
\nWe will have a SXR 1500 Race ready to ride\, a SXT-15F and a Ultra 310R.
\nTraining Day will consist of H ot Laps\, Start Practice\, Split Practice\, Log Jump Practice\, New Rider Laps to learn how to navigate a bouy course\, Test and Tune slots and a sh ort Pro/Exp only session to give the GP Runabout and Modified Skis classes track time to themselves. Depending on how many people sign up for the da y we will be fairly flexible with time as we will be running on the water from 9am to 5:30pm!

Newcastle Jet Ski Centre’s Cannonball Run is on again. Meet us at Lions Park Eleebana at 9am. This event will test the team of rider and passengers\, with their speed\, reliability\, fuel planning and knowle dge of the local area. Following a list\, riders will ride around Lake Ma cquarie\, to find the answers to the questions. Great Family event\, start ing and finishing from Lions Park Eleebana. A BBQ lunch will be supplied t o contestants.
