While standard bicycles are a common first step for a child learning to ride,

few products exist to help bridge the gap to a small displacement motorcycle.

The all-new Kawasaki Elektrode™ electric balance bike is an approachable bike

for kids ages 3-8 and is the perfect first step in their journey on two-wheels.

Now the whole family can get in on the fun and help kick-start the process of

getting little rippers on their first bike.

Power

Featuring a powerful 250-watt brushless in-wheel electric motor, the Elektrode™ offers a quiet, maintenance free experience. The motor position allows for a low center of gravity for better balance, making it easier to steer and handle.

Power is delivered in a smooth, linear fashion and gets the Elektrode™ moving in a mild, predictable way, gradually building the rider’s comfort and control. Since the electric motor has no external moving parts to maintain and is virtually silent, kids will feel less intimidated by the lack of motor, exhaust and chain sounds, leading to more uninterrupted fun.

Frame-Integrated Battery

A lithium-ion battery features up to 2.5 hours of running time* (or approximately nine miles) and is built into the frame to protect the battery from day-to-day wear and tear and potential damage from dirt, mud, rocks, and falls, ensuring long-lasting durability. Battery charger is included.

As a bonus, the Elektrode™ comes equipped with an auto-sleep feature that shuts off the power after ten minutes of inactivity, preserving the usable battery time and eliminating the worry if someone forgets to turn the unit off.

*Running time varies based on battery age, charge and the number of charge cycles it has had, rider weight, speed, and riding conditions.

Three Speed Modes with Passcode Parental Lock

Parent-controlled multiple speed modes allow riders to grow and naturally adapt as their abilities increase. The 3-mode selector is accessed through an LCD screen on the handlebar where parents can choose a mode that best suits the child’s skill level.

Low: 5 mph max
Mid: 7.5 mph max
High: 13 mph max

Chassis

Built Kawasaki tough with high-quality parts and sturdy construction, the lightweight yet strong and durable aluminum frame of the Elektrode™ can stand up to hard use by kids. A highly rigid steel front fork offers a solid feel, allowing young riders to easily get comfortable with steering the bike. A compact 32.76-inch wheelbase is ideal for agile handling.

Premium Disc Brake

A 160mm rear-mounted mechanical disc brake provides ample stopping power for a more safe and fun experience. The brake operates like a motorcycle brake, allowing for a more seamless transition to bigger bikes down the road.

16-inch Wheels & Tires

Kawasaki designed special durable cast-aluminum wheels stand up to the elements far better than traditional plastic. Paired with a low seat height, 16-inch wheels offer more stability for smaller children and eliminates the need to upgrade to larger wheels as the child grows. Knobby tires with Schrader-type air valves make the wheels easily serviceable.

Kid-Optimized Ergonomics

ERGO-FIT® adjustability allows riders to tailor the Elektrode™ to their body size, riding style, and preference. With over 4” of adjustability in the seat, the highly adjustable Elektrode can comfortably fit children 37” to 55” tall.

Folding footpegs provide versatility on the Elektrode™, allowing for the bike to easily be converted to a self-pushing balance bike with a simple fold. As kids grow and gain confidence they can gradually work their way up to riding with the power on using the footpegs and electric motor with throttle.

The handlebar design promotes an upright riding position without compromising knee space, providing the extra room as kids grow, and with a common-sized handlebar and seat, parents will have the ability to change and customize their child’s bike as they see fit.

Styling

KX-INSPIRED STYLING

The Elektrode™ is designed to resemble a big-kid motorcycle rather than a child’s bicycle. Styling features include Kawasaki KX™-style front number plate, KX-inspired color and graphics, high quality paint, and motocross-inspired knobby tires.
